I used to hate to travel. Being away from home meant having to be uncomfortable and sick in places other than the comfort of my own home. It also meant loading up a zip lock (or two!) jam packed with pills that I had to take to keep my Crohn's symptoms at bay or at least try to keep them at bay....
This year I've had the chance to travel a lot. And I have LOVED it! Not only have I felt better than ever on most of my trips, I've also been able to ditch the bag of pills and instead throw in a bag of #Shakeology.
Even with the eating out and craziness that comes with vacations I have been able to control my #crohns with 1-2 shakes/day. It's NOT a cure by any means, and if I'm not careful I DO pay for what I eat. But Shakeology has given me a quality of life back that I didn't know if I would ever have again. No pills to remember, no side effects from the pills, no feeling depressed when the pills don't work.
I'm still on my journey. I'm not cured. I'm not perfect. I still flare on and off because of my relationship with food. This disease is a roller coaster (at best lol!!) and I may have meds again in the future. But for now it feels AMAZING to be IN CONTROL!!!
