Thanks for the band aid, bud 😂💩
I've often wondered if what I'm doing is enough as a mom, but sweet moments like this when I cut my finger and he says "oh no mom, let me go get you a band aid!"...those moments make me realize that these little spirits are so much stronger than I realize and I'm simply hear to guide them.
Our little Jack Jack has been a spirited soul from day 1, and has tested my limits as a mom. But man, he has the sweetest heart. He absolutely loves to work and "do jobs". If I'm cleaning the kitchen he grabs a rag and starts to help. If I'm cooking he climbs up to the counter and asks to help (like today! We made pumpkin chocolate chip bread🤗). He will stop me during the day, pull me down and whisper in my ear, "momma, you're the best!". His love language is touch and is always the first to climb in bed with us in the AM, ask to snuggle during a movie, and need hugs throughout the day.
Thanks for teaching me so much in these short 3 years I've got to spend with you, MJ. Love you mister😘❤️
And momma, give yourself some credit. You're doing so much better than you think you are!
"Mothers, you might be kneeling next to your four-year-old as he says his bedtime prayer. A feeling flows over you as you listen. You feel warmth and peace. The feeling is brief, but you recognize that you, at that moment, are counted worthy to receive. We may seldom, if ever, receive huge spiritual manifestations in our lives; but we can frequently savor the sweet whisperings of the Holy Ghost verifying the truth of our spiritual worth." -Joy D.
