It's funny, I always thought that if you were a "runner" that you would have these PERFECT abs. WELL FOLKS- I just ran a RAGNAR relay this weekend and DO NOT have perfect abs, just for the record.
Since my second 2 c section I have struggled getting any sort of abs back. First diastasis recti and then being sick with Crohn's and not having my diet in check.
It can be frustrating not hitting your fitness goals or not looking in the mirror seeing your "goal" body. But that's NOT WHAT ITS ABOUT!!
****Fitness is about PROGRESS, not perfection. ****
It's about embracing your failures and set backs and OVERCOMING THEM. It's about being a better person than you were yesterday and striving to be MORE for yourself, and for your family.
So, although I'm a "runner" and don't have abs of steal- I'm pretty darn content with that! Don't get me wrong- I still have goals and I will keep striving for them- but perfection isn't the aim. It's the journey, it's the progress.
