To make the racer back look, take the first band cut from bottom (or cut a sleeve into a strip if you didn't cut the bottom), and tie your two sleeve together in the back. Next, just wrap that bad-boy around and around until you get the length you want. (I like mine to be a smaller length wrap, about 2 in.) Then tie a knot at the bottom. Trim the leftover material. And there ya have it. Done and done.
On to the headband. Now, I must warn you. This is nothing fancy by any means! I'm sure there are a million different ways to make a headband out of scraps- and I would love to see if you come up with something creative (heaven knows a girl can never have too many head bands!)
SO- to start, take a sleeve scrap and cut it so it lays flat as one piece. Then cut it into 7 strips, leaving about a 2 inch UNCUT section at the top of the strips. DO NOT CUT ALL THE WAY THROUGH. (You could do 4, but I think the 7 gave it a more ragged look, which I like.)
THEN the fun part. BRAID IT! I use my teeth to hold the top and then braided it. MAKE SURE TO LEAVE ONE STIP OUT OF THE BRAID. The strip you leave out will be the bottom of your headband that wraps about your head. SO think about that and choose wisely ;).
After you've braided you will tie your loose strip to the end of your braid. Trip your loose ends and there ya have it! Try it on and be proud of your new awesome, matching workout tank and headband!
Now....to muster up the energy to go ACTUALLY workout... ;) You can do it!! :) Have a Happy Day!!! <3
